History
The Mechanical Engineering Department accepted its first students in 1993 and had its first graduates in 1997. In the same year, our department accepted first candidates for master's and doctorate education. In 1994, students were accepted to the second education of undergraduate education.
Today, 4 Professors, 7 Associate Professors, 8 Assistant Professors, 7 Research Assistants and 2 Project Resarch Assistants contribute to education in our department. There are 5 divisions in our department. These are Machine Theory and Dynamics, Mechanics, Construction and Manufacturing, Thermodynamics and Energy.
In 2008, our department granted MÜDEK accreditation in order to establish a continuous improvement cycle and to identify and correct our deficiencies from the perspective of independent organizations. The accreditation of our department for the Undergraduate Primary and Secondary Education programs is still ongoing.
Since the 2012-13 academic year, %30 English education has been started in our department. Our Education Plan has been updated accordingly. The Workplace Application program has been implemented in our department since 2016.
